SkinPen Microneedling
Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that minimizes signs of aging, improves the appearance of acne scars and rejuvenates your skin. After numbing with topical numbing cream, our provider uses the SkinPen microneedling device to cause controlled micro-injuries to the skin that stimulate the body’s natural wound healing process. The micro-injuries trigger the release of cytokines and growth factors that lead to remodeling of collagen and elastin.

Procedure time: 60 minutes

Downtime: Little to no downtime. Redness to the skin often occurs immediately afterward (looks and feels like a sunburn) and significantly improves in 24 hours. There is usually slight flaking of the skin around day 3. You can apply SPF (chemical-free so there is no sting) and makeup after 24 hours. Use only gentle skin care products for 3-5 days post treatment, with no actives or physical exfoliants.
Results: You will start noticing your brighter skin 7-10 days post treatment. Results will continue to improve over the course of several weeks to months. SkinPen Microneedling with PRP
Microneedling with PRP is an advanced microneedling technique that triggers even more collagen production and speeds up the rejuvenation process for more youthful skin. We will first draw your blood and spin it down in order to extract the platelets. Then, after topical numbing, our provider uses a SkinPen microneedling device to cause controlled micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production. The skin then has open channels that we can massage your own platelets into, leading to more rapid collagen production. PRP can also be injected into problem wrinkles and under the eyes to enhance the treatment. Increases results and decreases downtime - like getting two microneedling treatments at once!

Microneedling with Platelet Derived Growth Factors (PDGF) is a way to elevate your treatment. Adding PDGF will decrease downtime and enhance your results. As we get older the amount of growth factor we make decreases. One treatment with PDGF has been shown to consistently increase growth factors 300,000 times beyond what our bodies produce naturally. By combining the two treatments we are able to drive the peel deeper into the skin to further stimulate collagen and help combat sun damage, fine lines, and scarring. Procedure time: 90 minutes
Target spots and concerns: Skin treatment with a mild to moderate peel that helps with tone, texture, scarring, and pigment and microneedling to drive the peel deeper into the skin and further stimulate collagen.
Downtime: Given this is a combo treatment, it does have a touch more downtime than either treatment alone. There can be redness and flaky of the skin for the following 3-5 days. You can wear makeup 24 hours post-treatment. We recommend avoiding significant sun exposure for a week post treatment.
Results: Results will be noticeable 7 to 10 days after treatment and will continue to grow over the upcoming weeks. For stubborn pigment, we recommend a series of three with a minimum of 2 weeks between treatments.
Microneedling PRP Injection Add-On
You can add on PRP injections to any SkinPen Mirconeedling treatment or purchase as its own service. We will first draw your blood and spin it down in order to extract the platelets. Then, after topical numbing we inject the platlets into areas of concern. The most common areas are fine lines of face and neck and under eye hollowness and darkness.
Price: $150
Procedure time: 15 minutes
Target spots and concerns: Fine lines, under-eye hollowness, crepiness, and darkness.
Downtime: With PRP injections, particularly the under eyes, there is swelling that can last 2-3 days. Risk of bruising with any injections.
Results: This process is gradual with optimal results occurring after 4-8 weeks. For best results, we recommend 2-3 treatments 4 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments can be 1-2 times yearly after the series is complete.

Late Arrival Policy:
Opal respects the time of all our clients and staff. With every booked appointment, our staff reserves time exclusively for you and your treatment. To avoid delaying clients who are booked after your appointment, we reserve the right to cancel your appointment if you are more than 15 minutes late. In this situation, we will contact you to reschedule your appointment for another time. If you are unable to reschedule, you will be charged a non-refundable cancelation fee (see cancelation policy for details).
Cancelation Policy:
If you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before it is scheduled to take place, you will be subject to a non-refundable charge of $50 to the saved payment method in your Aesthetic Record account. To avoid this cancelation fee, please provide a cancelation notice at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
